Ait Ben-Haddou
Aït-ben-Haddou is a ksar (Ighrem in Berber) located in Morocco, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Ouarzazate province. It falls under the municipality of Ait Zineb. Nestled in the Ounila Valley, south of Telouet—once the stronghold of Glaoui—this area served as a historical crossing point for caravans traveling between Marrakech and the southern Sahara. This remarkable site showcases traditional southern Moroccan architecture, perched on a hillside where a communal storage facility (an agadir) once stood.
